ENTREPRENEURS FORUM ~ AN INTERVIEW WITH STEPHEN MARGARET CEO HARSHE TARGE

My name is Margaret Stephen, I'm from Uromi, Edo State. I had my primary education in Legacy Private School Madalla, Niger state. I had my secondary education in Victory College Madalla I then proceeded to attain a BSc. in Mass Communication from Kogi state University, Anyigba Kogi state

WHAT DO YOU DO?

I am a fashion designer. I make bespoke clothings and I'm currently working on a ready to wear collection

WHAT INSPIRED YOU INTO FASHION?

I have always had my eyes on fashion. I like to dress up, like to watch runway shows and imagine myself in amazing outfits. The passion was fueled by my mum who is also a fashion designer. I said to myself ' I love it so I will do it'

BRIEF HISTORY OF HARSHE TARGE!

The idea of Harshe Targe was to start a ready to wear clothing line but I could sew and I was receiving orders for bespoke outfits so I started with that instead. Since Harshe Targe started I have gotten better with my skill and worked with people outside my location. I have also started working on a ready to wear collection.

HOW DOES IT RELATE TO YOUR DISCIPLINE IN SCHOOL?

The only similarity I'll say they have is the media that you can be used to promote my work. Asides that, they are 2 different fields

FOR HOW LONG NOW?

Harshe Targe will be one year in September

WHO IS YOUR ROLE MODEL?

DONATELLA VERSACE . I've always loved her fashion ideas for VERSACE. In Nigeria I love Mo Chedda not only for her clothing line but her hustling spirit.

WHAT CHALLENGES ARE YOU FACING?

On a personal level, always pushing myself to be better is a quest I have to daily conquer. As regards production, electricity is a big issue and so is finance

DO YOU HAVE ANY BAD EXPERIENCE?

I wouldn't say I have experienced any major setback

WHERE DO YOU SEE HARSHE TARGE IN FIVE YEARS?

To become a leading fashion establishment meeting fashion and lifestyle needs in Nigeria and to be well known outside her shores
